What to contribute
Anything that would have saved you time if someone had shared it first. A few ideas to get you thinking:
Replacement Parts
Flanges, hammer butts, damper components, player parts, cabinet hardware — especially obsolete parts no supplier carries.
Jigs & Fixtures
Boring jigs, drilling fixtures, routing systems, alignment and regulation aids you built for your own bench.
Research & Drawings
Action geometry studies, historical reconstructions, patent drawings, measured drawings of rare mechanisms.
Technique & Video
How you actually do the job — regulation, voicing, restringing, bridge work — filmed at your own bench.
Manufacturing Notes
CAM setups, tool libraries, print settings, material recommendations, and the lessons learned getting a part to fit.
Documentation
Photos, failure points, before-and-afters — the context that makes a file usable, not just a mystery shape.
What makes a great contribution
Don't worry about polish — worry about usefulness. The best entries include the reasoning, not just the geometry: what the part is, what it fits, how you made it, and anything that would trip up the next person. A clear photo and a sentence of context turn a file into a resource.

Your account gives you full reading privileges — downloads, training videos, part requests, ratings, and email updates as new work arrives. Contributor workbenches are reserved for working piano professionals.

Your website and social links go in the fields below. Payment links unlock after you're approved.
These appear on your profile and on your paid items so people can pay you directly. Payments happen between you and the user — the library doesn't process or take a cut. See the Terms.
⏳ Application received
The library is for piano professionals. An approved member of the Piano Technology Library community will review your contributor request, and you'll receive an approval email or a request for more information shortly. The more complete your memberships, certifications, and experience above, the smoother the review.
Share something with the community
CAD models, jigs, drawings, research, or a training video. Submissions are reviewed by the library before they appear publicly — you'll see the status below.
Payments go directly to you through your payment links — the library never processes money or takes a cut, and the file stays downloadable. Add your Venmo/Zelle/etc. in your profile above.

Bulk upload
Sharing a whole folder of models? Pick all the files at once — files with the same name (e.g. flange.step + flange.stl) are grouped into one item automatically. Set the shared details once; you can rename or edit anything after they're in review.

New contributors — piano professionals only. Check their credentials (PTG directory: ptg.org), then approve to open uploads for them.
Review queue LIBRARIAN
Pending community submissions. Approving publishes them to the catalog immediately.
Newsletter prep LIBRARIAN
Build a digest of everything added to the library recently, email a review copy to the library inbox, then send it to every member from your own email — you stay the sender, nothing goes out without you.
Activity log LIBRARIAN
Everything happening across the library — logins, downloads, email signups, new profiles, and shared items. Only you and Karmel can see this.
Beta feedback LIBRARIAN
Bugs, ideas, and suggestions sent through the Beta Feedback button. Also emailed to karmel@brighamlarsonpianos.com. Mark items done as you work through them.
Print & ship requests LIBRARIAN
Requests to print & ship physical items. Ones routed to Brigham Larson Pianos are yours to fulfill; ones routed to a maker are for your reference. Reply to the requester with a quote, then mark done.
